In Los Angeles, Jesus Culture had an event in the Nokia Theater, and a little over 5,000 attended. The participants were told, “There is no organized outreach. You will go to lunch and dinner for the next two days. Make sure you yield to the Holy Spirit.” About 90% stepped out and prayed for people over lunch and dinner. They brought back videos of people cutting casts off and people giving their lives to Jesus.
A nine-year-old girl during one session received a word of knowledge about a guy with a green shirt and spiked hair. She then saw someone who matched that description and asked if she could pray for him. He was experiencing stomach issues due to food allergies. He was only able to eat fruits or vegetables, or he would pass out and need to go to the hospital. When the girl prayed for him, she prayed word-for-word what he prays in his prayer closet. He was stunned. He felt he was healed, so he went to the restaurant and ordered everything he couldn’t normally eat. If he ate bread, he would swell up and die. He thought, “At least if I pass out right now, someone from Jesus Culture will pray for me.” He ate the bread with no issues and that evening, he testified that he was completely healed.
