Many years ago, while serving overseas, a missionary contracted many forms of parasites including a fluke, a large tapeworm, various amoebas, and roundworms. The nutrition she was taking for her symptoms was feeding the tapeworm and was suffering with health problems for the last 20 years. She would lose control of her muscles and wasn't able to walk straight. After suffering for years with intestinal problems, muscle problems, and weakness, she heard the Lord say that she had a large parasite and her doctors began to treat her for parasites (about five years ago). Also, she started to know about these parasites when she saw one after she had discarded one of the statues she had brought back from the country she was in. Realizing a possible connection between them and her affliction, she threw them all away. She was on disability for three years because of her symptoms. At one point the doctor thought she had multiple sclerosis because of her loss of muscle control, but she knew it wasn’t that. God told her she was healed in June 2007, and the symptoms went away. But in February 2008, her symptoms returned and she began to feel that she was battling a spiritual, not just a physical, condition.
In desperation, she drove with a friend from Santa Cruz County to Bethel for the weekend. That Sunday morning, during prayer ministry time, she received intense deliverances. That evening, Danny Silk called out a word of knowledge about someone with intestinal problems, and the two women knew it was for the missionary. She went up for prayer. She believed she was healed because she was able to have normal bowel movements and began to eat normally. For the five years since she had been treating her problems with medicines, she had not had normal bowel movements. She hadn’t been able to have sweets, fruits, any drinks other than milk (mostly buttermilk), vegetable juice, or water. A couple of days later, she enjoyed a chai tea with half milk. She was also able to eat a banana. She had not been able to eat fruit because it would feed the parasites. The missionary continues to pray that her muscles would be completely healed. She is radiant and rejoicing in the Lord for what He has done for her.
