A graduate student was visiting Bethel on Resurrection Sunday from the Bay Area for a weekend retreat with the Lord. During a Sunday morning service, a pastor shared a word about employment needs and asked those who needed a job to stand and receive prayer. At the time, the student was thinking and stressing about how they were going to go through the summer unemployed. They were planning on doing childcare or office work but really wanted to do something related to social work, which was their related field of study.
A few weeks later, a professor forwarded the student information about an amazing fellowship opportunity, which was a full-time position, and a $10,000 stipend over the summer. They applied because the projects they would be working on in that fellowship would be a dream come true and give them much needed training in their profession. A couple of weeks later, they interviewed for the role and got the position.
