In a Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry class, an individual was sitting behind a girl and, in the spirit, saw a black band around her knuckles or fist—like those used for street fighting. Then they saw a band of light wrapped around her knuckles or fist. They were unsure whether this was encouragement or a prophetic word. Not knowing, they simply said to her that they had seen a band of light around her hand, like those used for street fighting to protect the knuckles. She then responded, in her own words, “That’s how I broke my hands!”
The individual needed to clarify what they had heard, as they did not initially recognize that what they had seen was a word of knowledge. At that point, they shared the full picture they had seen and realized that the image of the black band turning into a band of light signified that God wanted to heal her hands. The background to her need for prayer was that she had previously engaged in street fighting, specifically kickboxing. While punching something, she had broken both of her hands. Her left hand had been broken down the middle, with the bones literally split, while her right hand had also been broken, though less severely.
Neither of her hands had healed properly. When she massaged them or made a fist, it caused significant pain that shot up her arm. The individual then prayed for her hands, holding them and praying for several minutes. They took authority over the pain, brokenness, and trauma in her hands and commanded healing in Jesus’ name. After approximately five to 10 minutes of prayer, the pain decreased from a level 10 to a level two, with zero representing no pain.
Since the injury, there had been a vein that appeared more pronounced and closer to the surface of her palm than normal. As prayer continued, the pain kept diminishing, and the vein also began to improve. She then clenched her fist and experienced no pain. She massaged her hand and still felt no pain. She asked the individual to clench their fist, then did the same and lightly struck it against theirs, experiencing no pain. During the prayer, she reported feeling her bones clicking and popping, along with strong tingling sensations in her hands and a feeling of warmth throughout her body. After praying, all pain had left her hands, and her pain level was at zero. The individual concluded that God had healed her hands.
