A woman who was used to walking four miles, three days a week, suddenly began having painful symptoms. She could not catch her breath and was experiencing level seven out of 10 chest pain. The ER doctors could not find the source of the problem and sent her home, but the symptoms persisted. She couldn't walk 10 feet without feeling like her breath was failing her; standing for more than a minute and a half was too difficult. She became homebound with no way to worship at church, go to the store, or take her kids to school. She also wasn't able to do housework or cook, and could only remain on the couch or in bed. Her friend saw her 10 days later and insisted she go in for more tests, but again, the tests could not identify the problem, with the pain only getting worse.
Her parents knew a missionary who ministered in the Healing Rooms, and told her their daughter's story. With a couple of other prayer ministers, she phoned the woman in need of healing so they could pray for her. She felt a hot flush from her forehead down as they started praying. Her chest, however, started hurting right behind her breast. They prayed for her heart health, sympathetic nervous system, opened valves, healed valves, brain stem, and connections. One of the women praying for her said she envisioned glowing in her heart like fireflies as God was doing a new work. They prayed against the enemy, against a spirit of death, and against thoughts that she may have caused this problem. She teared up and didn't realize the areas that they prayed about had been bothering her underneath it all.
The chest pain moved across her chest from left to right, and then left her body; all the pain was gone! She stood, and felt taller and lighter as a heavy burden lifted off of her. She now feels happier and healthier with more energy than before the symptoms ever started! She is able to do everything again—even walking at 6,000 feet above sea level in Utah, when visiting family there. She and her husband keep marveling over her great health! She thanks God, who brought her out of 108 days of suffering, and she shares her story with everyone who will listen.
