A man who had knee surgery hired someone to help him with yard work. Trying to get up, he accidentally put his hand on the exhaust of the rototiller, causing a severe burn to the palm of his hand. He went to the emergency room, and they said it could be a third-degree burn. Two days later, he went to another town to see a plastic surgeon, who thought it might be a second-degree burn, but was still serious. But in the two days before seeing the surgeon, he had received a lot of prayer from his prayer group and at his church. The surgeon said, "I won't operate now." With so many nerve endings located in the hand and the extreme blistering, it was also uncertain whether it was a second or third-degree burn.
He kept his hand covered until he got to Bethel for the Kingdom Culture Conference. His wife said, "It was still pretty gross." He would put it down gingerly and wince.
When he went for prayer for his knee pain, a Bethel pastor held his hands to pray. The next day, his hand was normal! The skin was smooth where there was a rough edge before. Before receiving prayer, the skin looked traumatized and very red. But after prayer, it was just a little red but smooth and looked and felt normal. It was supposed to take six months for the hand to experience that level of healing.
His knee, which was giving a little pain when he sat, was also no longer in pain.
