A woman came to the Healing Rooms for prayer for Lipidema—a condition that affects the body’s ability to lose weight. There is no cure for it, and diets don’t work for it. While sitting in the sanctuary, she glanced at a piece of prophetic art depicting a roaring lion. The image moved her deeply, bringing her to tears. In that moment, she sensed that God shared in her grief and was angry about the abuse she had suffered, which had triggered her condition at the age of five.
Later, she spoke with a prayer team member about naturopathic approaches to healing. He shared about a friend gifted in praying for similar issues, and together they prayed. He declared Leviticus 3:16 over her, “...the fatty portions belong to the Lord.” As he prayed, she began to laugh uncontrollably and fell to the floor. During those moments of laughter, she had glimpses of Jesus laughing with her, healing the pain of years of cruel words spoken over her about her weight.
She said she physically felt things shifting in her body, her tailbone touched the floorboards, and her stomach began to tighten. Each time she tried to stand, she was overcome with laughter and fell back down. She described it as a “beautiful mixture of peace and joy.” Then she heard the Lord speak, “Eat well, feast often—the trying is over.” She had previously tried weight loss injections and, feeling defeated, stopped trying about four weeks prior. But that day, as she shared her testimony, she noticed inches and inches of extra room in her pants around the waistline, evidence that the Lord had immediately brought change to her body. She experienced supernatural weight loss.
