Monthly Foster Shasta Small Groups

We lead a monthly support group meeting for parents who foster and/or adopt. This is a place where these parents can connect with each other, obtain information, and access practical, emotional, and spiritual support. The church’s Early Years Ministry is available for children at this time so parents can engage in this support group freely without distractions. As we build community, we increase sustainability, longevity, and quality of life for our active resource/foster and adoptive families.

In addition, we host social gatherings monthly where these families are able to develop friendships, have fellowship, and create lasting bonds that strengthen this community. Our social gatherings are family-friendly, and children are welcome to attend with parents.

How Can I Volunteer?

We are so glad you are considering joining our team! As a Foster Shasta volunteer, you will:

• Join with others who support families working toward restoration.
• Activate the power of community—we can do more together.
• Experience the satisfaction of being part of something greater than yourself to make a difference in the world.
• Connect with people who have a similar passion and call.

Those who foster and adopt face many joys and challenges. You can contribute to their success and impact their quality of life by coming alongside with practical support.
