Local Church Food Support Initiative 2025

Oct 31, 2025
Announcement

We as the Body have a unique opportunity in this hour to share life with one another, whether in a moment of needing support or of being able to offer it. During this pause of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) benefits, we'd like to help families and individuals with groceries.

As a result we are offering grocery distribution as we are able until benefits resume. We recognize that this effort alone will not cover the “gap” created for those in challenging circumstances, and are looking to our local church community to come alongside one another as they are able to help in this and in other ways.

Accessing Food Support

If you currently receive SNAP or WIC and are in need of food support, sign up to access groceries and other essential items by clicking here or going to bethel.ws/foodsupport. These bags will be available for pickup on Wednesdays of each week that the initiative is in place. For November 5, 2025 pickup, we are asking that you fill out the form by Monday, November 3 before 5:00pm. Once you have signed up, you will continue to be accounted for until the initiative is no longer in place, and will receive a weekly email with updates on pickup, meals, and more.

Donating Essential and Non-Perishable Food Items

If you want to help this effort through food and essential item donations, you can bring any of the following items to our College View Campus on Sundays from 8:00am-3:00pm, to be placed in the blue bins in each lobby:

- Instant Oats

- Peanut Butter

- Bag of Uncooked Black Beans

- Bag of Uncooked White Rice

- Hearty Macaroni and Cheese

- Can of Tomato Soup

- Spaghetti

- Tomato Pasta Sauce

- Taco Kit

- Crumbled Bacon

- Canned Chili

- Bag of Potatoes

- Ramen

- Diapers

- Feminine Hygiene Products

- Toilet Paper

- Bars of Soap (Please Put in Plastic Bags)

Donating to Benevolence Fund

If you want to support this effort through donations, you can sow into our Bethel Benevolence Fund, which exists to support individuals and families in our community in these and future times of challenge or crisis. You can do that at bethel.ws/benevolence.

Support Those Around You

If you know of people within your community who are needing support, reach out to them and see how you can help! This can look like inviting people to your home for meals, covering the cost of a grocery bill, or assessing and meeting other needs as you are able.

However you choose to care for our local community in this season, we invite you to prayerfully consider what partnering with Heaven and being the Body looks like for you and your family.
