Leadership Decision-Making
Over the past two weeks, a smaller team of senior leaders have been meeting almost daily to action immediate decisions and ensure leadership oversight in the areas we are reviewing and changing.
Leadership Oversight
Our Board of Elders is also meeting weekly with members of this smaller team to provide input, oversight, and accountability.
Pastoral Care
We are actively working toward increased connection with our staff and local church.
Safe Church Processes
A dedicated team is actively reviewing reports submitted through our Safe Church processes. These reports are being handled with care and diligence, with strengthened documentation and follow-up procedures.
Outside Counsel
We are engaging with outside counsel, including legal and spiritual counsel, to ensure accountability, oversight, and long-term health.
Third-Party Investigation Regarding Ben Armstrong
We have interviewed third-party investigation teams for the allegations concerning Ben Armstrong. We hope to have one selected by the end of this week.
We are going to be respectfully quiet on this matter until the investigation takes its course, and do not yet know how long this investigation will take. Ben remains on administrative leave. We are in contact with Ben and his family, and have made efforts to connect with all parties involved.
We recognize that trust is rebuilt through consistent action over time. Many of the updates and structural changes currently underway will continue to be communicated on this page as they are implemented.
