The Lord Is Risen!

On this Resurrection Sunday I want to encourage all of you. Christ the Lord is risen today! Nothing is impossible with God.

Every Easter I am reminded that He sits on the throne. Death could not hold Him. The grave could not deter Him. God’s plan went forward. In fact, it was His plan all along that Jesus should die for humanity. His crucifixion was factored into the plan to save us before the foundation of the world.

At a time when things have not yet returned to normal due to COVID-19, God is victorious. COVID-19 will not stop His plans. In fact, they were factored into His plan for us long ago.

I don’t know what you’re facing today. The challenges may seem insurmountable for you at times. The joy of the Lord may be absent. Maybe you have no idea what the future holds for you. How can the resurrection of Jesus give you hope today?

It matters not what you’re facing. I learned many years ago that in the depth of despair, trial and uncertainty, the resurrection of Jesus gives us hope. If God can raise Jesus Christ from the dead, certainly He can take care of whatever problem you’re facing.

In the midst of tremendous difficulty during one season in my life, the Lord reminded me that He was risen, He was real. It happened on Resurrection Morning. It was about 3am. I saw a bright light, the light of two angels, and I sat up straight in bed. It reminded me of the two angels that were at the empty tomb on Easter Sunday.

Ever since it has given me encouragement. Sometimes we have to go through the problems we face, even though we wish to be released from them in an instant. Jesus had to go through death and hell to come out victorious on the other side and ascend to be seated at the right hand of God the Father. Sometimes our journey is through the valley of the shadow of death.

Be not afraid. Be not discouraged. Even if you sit at home today because you can’t attend church due to whatever circumstances, know this: He is victorious! Death could not hold Him! Nothing could hold Him back! Nothing is impossible with God!

Dwell not on your circumstances today!
Focus on Jesus who is risen!
Dwell not on the magnitude of your problem today!
Focus on the solution which He holds!
Dwell not on your loss!
Focus on the victory!

Yes, all God’s promises are Yes and Amen in Jesus Christ!
