After arriving in Spain 15 years ago, I felt an immediate connection with the country and the people. This connection brought me to teach English as a second language in a private academy, enabling me to support myself and to learn more about the people here. This allowed me to reach a great deal of Spaniards from many different backgrounds, including the Spanish military, as well as high ranking officers, while also presenting me the opportunity to share with Muslims from the south. I have learned that this is where my ministry is and I am not only connecting with my students but with their parents as well. I have discovered that teaching a subject through Godly principles and values can be of great importance to parents provided that they also see positive results and are included in the communication. In addition, I have made friendships and established relationships amongst the people in my neighborhood and community by showing the love of Christ through consistency and action, which is quite important in a conservative city where trust does not come easily. In March of 2020 the Lord gave me a word, a motto to live by in this season; "Look up, move forward, keep your path straight, be in motion". That is what I am doing. I started my own language school partly out of necessity because of the pandemic, but also to provide the latitude to share more freely about Christ.
