Biblical Importance of Dreams
Throughout the Old and New Testament, God has used dreams and visions to speak to believers and non-believers alike. From Abraham to Joseph and from Daniel to the Prophets, God encountered His people through visions and dreams to transform the world and to see His kingdom expand and direct His people. A third of our lives are spent sleeping — this is a cycle that God created, not only for rest, but to speak to us Spirit to spirit.
“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.” – Psalm 3:5
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” – Psalm4:8
“For the Lord gives to His loved ones even while they sleep.” – Psalm 127:2
