This fall join us for the premier of a Bethel Conservatory of the Arts original production written by the class of 2024. Under the direction of Lisa Noroña, you are invited to journey back in time with a group of immigrants searching for a hope filled future in America.
At the cusp of the 19th century, Ellis Island stands as the doorway to America for hopeful immigrants seeking a better life. Dreams intertwine with uncertainty, and challenges emerge along this path. Amidst these trials, a clash unfolds between a hostile assistant commissioner and compassionate workers as the new arrivals do whatever it takes to get through this gateway. Will a welcoming embrace await those who have chosen to undertake this journey?
