Freed from a Lie, a Satanist Finds Jesus

March 2, 2017
During a conference in Chile, a Satanist and his whole family comes to Jesus.

Steve Backlund received this testimony from a BSSM alumni:

We just got back from speaking at a youth conference in Chile with 2000 people from the ages of 15-25. During the conference, I gave a three-day workshop on identity. I had the same 300 people for all three days so I focused on understanding our identity on days one and two and renewing our mind and believing our identity on day three. During this last day, I had everyone write a few lies on a piece of paper and put them in a bag, then I'd draw sentences out of the bag, read them through the microphone and we would all laugh at the lies. One of the lies I pulled out was "I'm worthless," so I read it and everyone laughed. No big deal right? Well, the following day as we were closing out the conference and everyone was getting ready to leave, a woman came running to me through the field and said, "I have no idea who you are, but I just need to thank you." (Tears started rolling down her face.) "My son was a Satanist, our house was crazy with weird spiritual things happening, and we didn't know what to do anymore, so a friend of mine told me to send him here and told me maybe it could help. I told him there would be rock music and slowly convinced him to come. "You did something in your workshop where you laughed at the lie, 'You're worthless,' right? After this, he left your workshop and called me from his tent sobbing and told me, 'Mom, I want to ask for your forgiveness. I've believed that I'm worthless since I was little, and now I understand that it's a lie. I want to say I'm sorry, and I want to give my life to Jesus.'"

The mom was so in shock that she and her whole family came to the youth camp the next day and (drumroll...) the WHOLE FAMILY gave their life to the Lord! The power of laughing at lies! Steve, your message got a Satanist and his whole family saved.
